Q What is the MODI Anki Remote?

MODI is a Bluetooth remote made for Anki review sessions, helping you answer cards one-handed without constantly reaching for your keyboard, mouse, phone, or tablet.

Q Is MODI compatible with my device?

Yes. MODI works with desktop Anki on macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus AnkiMobile on iPhone/iPad and AnkiDroid on Android.

Q Do I need to install anything to use it?

For the fastest desktop setup, no plugin is needed. Use Keyboard Mode by pressing A + Home, pair over Bluetooth, and start reviewing. The optional Anki plugin is only needed if you want custom button remapping.

Q Can I customize the buttons?

Yes. Use Switch Mode by pressing Y + Home, then install the MODI Anki plugin in desktop Anki with code 406900239 to remap buttons.

Q Does MODI work with Quizlet?

Yes, MODI can be used with Quizlet Flashcards in a desktop browser through Keyboard Mode. It works best for moving between cards and flipping cards with simple keyboard-style controls.

Q How long does the battery last?

MODI lasts about 16 hours of continuous use. The LED flashes red when the battery is low, flashes green while charging, and turns off when charging is complete.

Q Why is my remote turning off after 5 minutes?

That is normal. MODI automatically enters sleep mode after about 5 minutes of inactivity to save battery. Press a button to wake it, then reconnect if your device asks.
